Folk legend Kate Rusby closes Hebden Bridge Arts Festival next month and we have pair of tickets for that gig, plus a signed CD to give away.
Kate plays Hebden Bridge Picture House on Sunday July 3 promising a selection of the best known tunes from her 14 albums, and some new numbers.
She made her name with a critically acclaimed debut album Hourglass and even managed a shock top 10 hit with Boyzone’s Ronan Keating on All Over Again.
Since then a performer described a ‘superstar of the British acoustic scene’ has created a series of best-selling albums fusing her traditional Yorkshire folk roots with influences from more contemporary genres.
In 1999 her album Sleepless was the folk nominee in the Mercury Music Prize and although it didn’t win that gong her peers voted it Best Album at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
Rusby is also a captivating live act combining her beautiful voice with down to earth onstage quips that won her Best Live act at the 2006 folk awards.
lTo be in with a chance of winning the tickets and the signed CD all you have to do is tell us which Yorkshire town Kate Rusby is from?
