A Halifax-based yoga company is celebrating ten years in business with a campaign to showcase the widespread benefits of yoga and well-being practices.

Adele’s Yoga was founded by yoga teacher and well-being expert, Adele Wills, in 2012. What began as a local yoga class has since expanded to offer a range of well-being initiatives, supporting more than 1,000 people in the local community and beyond.

The ten-year anniversary campaign, called “Real yoga changing real people”, features stories from students who have experienced life-changing shifts as a result of practising yoga.

Bob Bond, a keen snowboarder, first came to Adele’s Yoga to improve core strength and flexibility, and better manage stress.

Bob said: "Within a very short period of time, I noticed a marked difference in well-being, stress levels and range of movement.”

Alongside in-person yoga classes, Adele’s Yoga also includes an on-demand video library and one-to-one tuition.

The business has received funding from the Community Foundation for Calderdale to deliver "Love Your Body”, a weight loss course with a difference.

Carrie Stoker, course attendee, said: “I applied for Adele’s Love Your Body course because I felt so disconnected and ashamed by my body and how I looked. I’d lost all my hair to alopecia at the age of 31, during my third pregnancy, so as well as going through the wonderful miracle of growing a human and all the body changes and weight gain, I had to contend with a very outward and obvious appearance change too.

“I am so grateful that I was accepted onto the course because it has changed my life for the better. It has led to a two-stone weight loss, and I feel more positive about my future.”

Alongside the ten-year anniversary campaign, Adele’s Yoga has also had a brand refresh and launched a new website and booking system.

Adele said: “2022 marks ten years since I first rolled out the yoga mat as a teacher and what a journey it has been!

"While I’m so proud of all that I’ve achieved I wouldn’t be here without the support of my wonderful students, so it only felt right that I marked ten years in business by celebrating them.

"I’m honoured to be able to share their incredible stories about the benefits we’ve experienced working together.”
