Firefighters were called to a fire in a bedroom of a home in Todmorden this morning.

Teams from Todmorden, Mytholmroyd and Bacup fire stations put out the flames at Nutfield Street after being deployed at 5.25am.

They said a male occupant suffered smoke inhalation and was handed over into the care of paramedics.

After putting out the fire, crews used a high-powered fan to clear smoke from the building.
