A Christmas card designed by a Halifax schoolgirl will be delivered through hundreds of letterboxes across the country, including the Prime Minister's, after Halifax MP Holly Lynch chose a design by Moorside Community primary School pupil Jasmine Jones as her 2016 Christmas card.

The winning card features a drawing of Big Ben, the London Eye and Santa’s sleigh.

Ms Lynch said: “I visited Moorside Primary School to announce the winner of my annual Christmas card competition. There were lots of imaginative entries and it was a really difficult choice deciding which one to use.

“I loved Jasmine’s design of a festive Westminster.

“A big thanks and well done to all the children at Moorside!”
