A man was rushed to hospital after a vehicle hit a wall in Halifax yesterday.

Police were called to the accident on Swales Moor Road, between Boothtown and Queensbury, at 5.33pm.

The driver, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries which were described as "significant".

He remains in hospital today where his condition is said to be "critical but stable".
