Man dies in suspected quad bike crash in Elland woodland

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following an incident involving a quad bike in Elland.

The man, who was in his fifties, died a short time after he was found in Elland Park Woods, near to the Park Wood Crematorium at about 4.20pm yesterday (Sunday).

It is believed he had fallen from a red quad bike.

His family have been informed.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the riding of the quad bike prior to this is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 01924 293047 or by using the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log 1265 of 16 August.
