Police officers in Calderdale are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a car in Halifax.

At around 11pm, a black Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian were involved in a collision on Queens Road.

The car was travelling in the direction of Hopwood Lane.

The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver stopped at the scene and is helping officers with their enquiries.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

PC James Heslop, of the Roads Policing Unit said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision or for anyone who was driving through the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage to come forward.”
