A weekend of... potatoes!

Kershaws Garden Centre, Halifax Road, Brighouse, is hosting a Potato Weekend, January 31 - February 1.

Adults and children are welcomed to the centre to find out all about the much-loved vegetable - that is a staple part of the British diet.

Visitors can find out how to grow different varities of potatoes to enjoy throughout the seasons.

Your little puddings can enjoy spud-based children’s activities on Saturday and Sunday 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm.

People are invited to take part in a potato competition with a result final at a later date in the year.
