Rosie rides in to entertain family audiences

Family shows are to the fore at Square Chapel arts centre, Halifax, with plenty of opportunity to introduce young children to the magic of live theatre.

One of the season highlights is ‘Rosie’s Magic Horse’, a new production based on the book by Russell Hoban and illustrated by Quentin Blake, which will be staged on Sunday, September 6.

A treat for families with children aged three-plus, the show tells the story of Rosie whose collection of ice-lolly sticks becomes a magical horse named Stickemio on the stroke of midnight. It is a heart-warming tale of aspiration, friendship and adventure - with a little bit of mischief!
