Derry builds on last year’s awards success
Derry Construction, which is based at Starbeck, won the accolade for Commitment to the Environment and Sustainability at the National Federation of Builders Awards held at Westminster.
The award recognised the progress the firm has made in recycling and re-using waste, as well as its plans to use waste produce to provide power to its workshop.

Director Shane Derry said: “I was surprised and pleased that we won this award. We won four awards in the building disciplines last year, so this environmental award was something we hadn’t got.
“It’s also very current, as people are increasingly thinking in those terms.”
