Edita, 45, from Halifax, has worked for Home Instead for a year.

Home Instead owner Satinder Salona said: “Edita is always early for her care visits and has never called in sick. She understands that her clients rely on her and she would move heaven and earth to ensure she was there for her clients.

“Edita always goes above and beyond to get to know her clients so she can understand how to deliver the best care possible. If a client has an unusual condition and requires special care, she will take the time to research the condition in order to ensure her client is getting everything he/she needs. On various occasions, she has cooked wholesome food at her home including soups and stews and has brought them to her clients in order for them to enjoy a nutritious home cooked meal. Nothing is too difficult for Edita.

“Edita is a woman of many talents. As well as being a caregiver, she is a mother and a grandmother and helps to look after her granddaughter in her free time. She also helps her husband run a market stall and has successfully trained to be a veterinarian. We don’t know how she fits it all in!”
