A second Calderdale pub has shut after a customer tested positive for covid-19.

The Shoulder of Mutton in Shelf confirmed the test result on its Facebook Page on Sunday.

In a statement the pub said: "The Shoulder of Mutton has been informed that someone has entered the pub with a confirmed case of COVID-19 on Friday evening.

"We are currently closing our doors for the moment while we seek advice from public health and NHS 111.

"We will keep you all informed once we know further information and everyone's safety is maintained before thinking of re-opening.

"We do apologise for the inconvenience caused, as you can understand everyone's safety and welfare is to be considered.

"From the information that has been given the person was tested due to their job role and was showing no signs or symptoms.

"We have followed the guidance given and information has been passed onto the Track and Trace."

It is the second pub that has closed in the borough after a customer tested positive for coronavirus.

The Pack Horse in Southowram also had to temporarily close.
