The children enjoyed learning about a church as a Christian place of worship on a visit to Christ Church at Pellon.

They particularly enjoyed looking at the stories told by the stained glass windows.

They also visited the Post Office to buy stamps for the invitations to their winter play, which was a great success.

Reception classes paid a visit to Pizza Express in Halifax, where they learnt how pizza is made and were amazed to see the pizza dough being thrown into the air.

They were all very excited and couldn’t wait to get started on making their own pizzas, which they took home to enjoy with their families.

The primary phase also played host to a Stay Well Day organised by Tony King and the Park and Warley Ward Forum Team.

More than 80 people attended the event, which gave them the opportunity to try out various activities, including curling.

Attendees were entertained by children from both the primary and secondary phases who sang and gave poetry recitals.
