Court issues payback order on man storing stolen vehicles

An Otley man who was imprisoned for storing stolen vehicles at his unit on Tong Park Industrial Estate has been ordered to pay back nearly £30,000 worth of assets gained through crime.

Oliver Firth, 27, of Ghyll Beck Drive, Otley, was arrested in January following the activation of a tracker on a stolen Range Rover with further stolen car parts found in his unit.

He was sentenced in February to two years imprisonment.

During a hearing earlier today, Bradford Crown Court was told that Firth had benefitted by £128,600.00 through criminal enterprise.

His available assets were valued at £28,297.70. He was ordered to repay this money within the next six months or face a further 15 months in prison.
