Elland Cricket Club has been hosting a three-day festival this weekend with live entertainment, a bouncy castle, games and food.

Le Tour Elland first got together last October to start preparing for the event.

The cricket club will be showing the race on a big screen and have spaces for 130 cars.

Jeremy Firth, from the Le Tour Elland group, said: “Friday was a little bit quiet but we had a good day yesterday.

“We’ve had quite a few families and we’ve had things for the kids to do like a bouncy castle and football nets.

“There could be as many as 20,000 people along the route in this area.

“We’re hoping people park their cars here, walk up to Blackley see the race go by then come back here and watch the rest of it on the big screen.”
