Le Tour example of volunteer Lions’ club role
Todmorden Lions, who worked with Tour De Tod to stage last night’s Party In The Park to celebrate the big race coming to Calderdale today, are a community group of volunteers.
The Lions, helped by extra stewards from the Todmorden public, helped stage the event, which featured music from Todmorden Community Band and the Three Valleys Gospel Choir, plus a great fireworks finale.
Lion Rod Wainwright, one of the team, said it showed how Lions clubs helped the community.
