Morning travel and weather

Motorists are being advised to take car due to standing water on roads and the M62 motorway after heavy downpours this morning.

Gas works still remain in Shelf on Wade House Road and on the A6036 between Halifax and Bradford.

There are currently no disruptions on public transport.

Today’s weather will see rain in the morning which is likely to be heavy at times with a risk of thunder. Rain should becoming more intermittent and from mid-morning, however heavy, thundery showers are likely in places during the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 15 °C.

Tonight will be largely cloudy with heavy, perhaps thundery showers possible in many parts during the evening. Some outbreaks of rain will continue through the night. Minimum Temperature 9 °C.
