Letter: Need to accept EU Referendum result

Brian Sharp (Courier, November 18) got it wrong about there being no parliamentary vote about the Maastricht and Lisbon treaties, as pointed out by James Baker and Andrew Sykes (Courier, November 25). But Brian Sharp was spot on about the Europhiles refusal to accept the Referendum result, doing all they can to obstruct or overturn the democratic vote.

They have a history of not accepting referendum results they don’t like, holding second referendums, something they are agitating for now, to get the result they want.

If they succeed in their attempt to thwart the will of the people, there will be demonstrations and riots on the streets that would make the Poll Tax riots look like a picnic.

Is that what they want?
