Pensioner has cash stolen from Bradford home

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at the home of an elderly woman who has since suffered an ill turn.

The offence happened at a property in Leylands Terrace, Bradford, between 8pm to 8.30pm on Saturday February 7.

The 85-year-old victim confronted the male intruder who then left the address. A small amount of cash was taken

The man is described as white, aged around 40-years-old, wearing a suit and hooded jacket

Detective Inspector Stuart Lyons, of Bradford District CID, said: “This incident has had a significant impact on the victim who has since had to receive medical treatment believed to be linked to the stress of coming face to face with an intruder in her home.

“We would urge anyone with information about this burglary or the man involved to call Bradford District CID on 101.”
