Co-operative Funeralcare, on Huddersfield Road, is providing the tree to help people remember their loved ones during the festive season.

Families and friends are being invited to visit the funeral home and decorate the tree with cards in memory of those close to them who have died.

The business will also be welcoming donations in aid of Help for heroes.

Jared Barker, manager at the funeral service, said: “This is the eighth year we have offered a memorial tree in honour of those who have died, as it has always proved to be a great help for relatives and friends.”

Also this year a memorial carol service will be held at St Martin’s Parish Church, on Church Lane, on December 16 at 7pm where everyone is welcome.
