Scheme delivers some good news

Market Delivered, a Todmorden-based online delivery service, has been chosen as one of the Small Business Saturday 100.

Small Business Saturday is a national day encouraging people to use small businesses in the run up to Christmas.

For the 100 days preceding this the scheme showcases a local business that has made a difference.

Market Delivered have been chosen as the local company to be featured on October 9.

The owners of Market Delivered, one of whom is Dave Fisher, pictured, bought a village store near Todmorden in 2005 and gradually evolved their company into an online platform selling produce from local markets to consumers.

The company started solely operating from Todmorden Market but now also cover Halifax Borough Market and Leeds Kirkgate Market.
