Traffic lights will also be in place along Albert Street and some parking bays on Albert Street will unfortunately be out of use.

The work will take around four weeks to complete, subject to ground and weather conditions.

Anna Murphy, Project Manager at Yorkshire Water said: “We’d like to reassure residents that we’ll do everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum during this work. Regular sewer flooding has occurred in the area and it’s important we reduce the risk of it happening in the future.

“Businesses remain open as usual and we politely ask that residents and visitors please continue to support them during this time.”
