Driver arrested after huge three car crash on Rochdale Road in Sowerby Bridge

A person has been arrested after a three car crash in Calderdale this morning.

The incident happened just before 7am today (August 27) on Rochdale Road in Sowerby Bridge.

The crash involved a blue BMW, black Mercedes and a black Audi..

Emergency services were called as the road was partially closed as paramedics treated the injured drivers.

One person was also arrested by police officers at the scene.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 6.57am to reports of a three vehicle road traffic collision on Rochdale Road.

"One person is believed to have been seriously injured.

"One person was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the limit. The cars involved were a blue BMW, black Mercedes and a black Audi."
