Wayne Stansfield, 48, was killed in March when he was struck by two vehicles as he crossed a road in the town.

Reports at the time said that he had been hit by a black Audi A3 and an silver coloured Toyota Yaris near to the Duke of York pub on Halifax Road.

Mr Stansfield was pronounced dead at the scene and last Friday 27-year-old Fiaz Shah, of Stansfield Street, Todmorden, and Mohammed Islam, 30, of Wellington Road, Todmorden, both pleaded guilty to causing his death by dangerous driving during a hearing before a judge at Bradford Crown Court.

The pair, who are on bail, will have to return to the crown court on January 15 to be sentenced.

Wayne, a husband, son and father, worked at the family’s J. T. Stansfield and Sons, Todmorden, shop alongside his brother Sean.
