Just days after Storm Babet drenched Calderdale, people are being warned to expect more heavy rain.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain, warning it could lead to flooding, for the area between 3am tomorrow and 4pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

Residents are being urged to expect that spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

The Met Office has said: “Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services

"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings

"There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.

"There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads.”

On Friday, Calderdale was hit by 24 hours of heavy rain which caused roads to shut, forced cars to drive through water and brought trees down.

Damage to the A629 in Salterhebble, Halifax, caused by the weather left at least 12 cars with burst tyres.

Rain is expected to start at around 1am tomorrow, quickly becoming heavy.

Heavy downpours are then expected until late tomorrow afternoon.

Weather forecasters say the rest of the week is expected to be mostly dry from Wednesday and into the weekend.
