Woman rescued from Royal Armouries dock in Leeds

Brighouse firefighters part of the specialist water rescue crew helped save a woman from a dock in Leeds.

The team were called to the Royal Armouries, on Armouries Drive, at 12.45am, today (Friday) after a female was spotted on CCTV in the dock at the side of the armouries.

The security guard held the female until the fire service arrived who then rescued her from the water using a roof ladder.

Appliances attended from Hunslet, Leeds and Rothwell with a specialist technical rescue officer.

The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.
