World Athletics Championship medal for Rastrick racer.

Calderdale is celebrating another medal as Rastrick racer Georgina Oliver took a bronze at the 2013 IPC World Athletics Championships in Lyon, France.

Having set a personal best time of 17.28 in the semi final, Georgina had originally finished 4th in the final.

However, she was promoted to third after Chinese racer Wenjun Liu was disqualified.

American track star Tatyana McFadden took gold, making it five out of five having clinched gold in the 200m, 800m, 1,500m and 5,000m, and Finland’s Amanda Kotaja picked up the silver.

It has been an impressive competition for the 20-year-old who also reached the 200m final and set another personal best.

The medal haul for Calderdale is now up to three after Hannah Cockroft from Halifax, defended her titles in the T34 100m and 200m.
