The FA released a statement on the situation today, which went on to say: "We're liaising with the National League pyramids (men’s and women’s) and will continue to offer guidance & support. Any decision to continue playing or to postpone their respective competitions is a matter for each league as autonomous bodies within the game".

It is thought the National League will be holding a board meeting at lunchtime today (Friday) to decide what happens.

FC Halifax Town are due to host Ebbsfleet at The Shay on Saturday live on BT Sport (5.20pm).
