Rob Brown

Man of the match

Danny Clarke. By far his best game for the shaymen on Saturday. His enthusiasm and hard work kept the team going forward all afternoon. A well deserved ovation when he came off.

Moan of the match

The referee had a shocker. No complaints about the red cards but he seemed to think we’d all turned up to watch him. Dreadful.

70th minute. Richard Peniket equalised for the Shaymen just when things were beginning to look bleak.

Man of the match

After a very poor three quarters of the game nobody really stood out but I’d have to say Danny Clarke, worked hard on the wing and I think he’s scape-goated unfairly at times.

Richard Peniket flying in with a needless elbow to get sent off, totally mindless and will now serve a ban.

Moment of the match

With a lot to do and plenty of time to decide Kosylo out paced the defender and cooly rounded the keeper to put the game to bed.

Not many stand-outs, although central defence did well again. Danny Clarke looked best in midfield, so he can have the accolade today. It seems he could run all day if necessary, but his footballing talent is (shall we say) somewhat limited.

Moan of the match

Peniket’s sending off. We are extremely limited with our options up front, and missing a player for three matches is not going to help at all.

Moment of the match

The final goal. A quick breakaway - as soon as Kosylo ran free we all knew what the outcome would be, and that we could head for a celebratory pint or two!

Man of the match

To be honest not his biggest fan but Danny Clarke stood out today as he did on Tuesday. The end product is a little inconsistent but his work rate can’t be faulted.

Peniket’s sending off spoiled the result, there was no need, at 2-1 up, for him to elbow Toulson like he did. There’s no chance he’ll get this one overturned.

Moment of the match

Kosylo’s goal going in when it did and securing three points was great. It wasn’t pretty but hopefully the start of a winning streak to see us into the play-offs.
