A decision is not expected until next week at the earliest, although the National League is said to be keen to keep its two promotion places into the EFL.

It has been reported that the majority of clubs across the three National League divisions were favour of cancelling the play-offs when all member clubs submitted their thoughts to the league last week.

BBC Sport has reported that if the EFL does not complete its season then Stevenage are likely to avoid relegation, with only one team coming up from the National League, while if no team is relegated from the EFL, then any National League play-offs would therefore become meaningless.

However, the National League board has not yet ruled out the possibility of expunging all results and following the same pattern as steps three to seven of the non-league system.

All matches have to be played before 1 June unless the National League seeks an extension from the FA Council.
