FC Halifax Town's game against Altrincham at The Shay goes ahead and starts at 3.15pm
FC Halifax Town’s home game against Altrincham on New Year’s Day will go ahead after a pitch inspection – and will kick off at 3.15pm.
The pitch was inspected twice by referee Matt Corlett before he decided it was in a fit state to host the game, despite heavy rainfall in Halifax in the hours just before the match was due to kick-off.
