Record romp for Cockroft
The double Paralympic champion from Halifax set a new championship record with a wide-margin win in the T34 100 metres.
“Hurricane Hannah” clocked 17.57 seconds and finished a second clear of second-placed Kare Adenegan, also representing Great Britain.

Hide AdThe 23-year-old Cockcroft took to Twitter to say she had loved being back at the Olympic Park and to thank the fans for their support. “The noise was immense,” she said.
Retired former top wheelchair racer Tanni Grey-Thompson is predicting success for Cockroft in Brazil.
“I can’t see anyone beating her over 100 metres,” she said.
